Kanopy

Kanopy provides film streaming through participating libraries and educational institutions. Its website explains access and helps viewers find the entry appropriate to their organisation. It is useful for exploring films and documentaries available through an eligible library or institution, with the collection and access arrangements depending on the participating provider.

Kanopy connects viewers with a film and documentary service through participating institutions. That makes the relevant library or institutional access information an important part of exploring it. A reader can use the public site to understand the service, then consult the arrangements associated with their institution for the catalogue and access options available to them.

It is useful for exploring a screen title or a particular kind of viewing through the provider's own service. Its focus includes Library-supported film streaming, Films and documentaries and Institution-specific access, with the individual programme or film providing the next level of detail beyond a broad description of the catalogue.
