YouTube

YouTube is an online video platform where people watch, publish and share videos. Its website brings together creator channels, search, subscriptions and different video formats, including Shorts and live streams. It is useful for finding entertainment, tutorials and other video content, with account and viewing options explained through the official service.

YouTube brings together individual videos, creator channels and different ways of following published content. A channel is useful for understanding who produced a video and finding related material from the same source. For learning or research, the full video description and any linked source material can add context beyond the title, thumbnail or a short clip.

It is useful for exploring a screen title or a particular kind of viewing through the provider's own service. Its focus includes Video search and channels, Creators and publishing and Shorts and live streams, with the individual programme or film providing the next level of detail beyond a broad description of the catalogue.
