City of Edinburgh Council

The City of Edinburgh Council website provides local authority information and service routes for Edinburgh. It brings together resident services, council decisions and local information under the council's official entry point.

Published information and service routes cover planning and building standards, social care and health and business and licensing. Choose the appropriate council service and check the property or address covered. Scotland's national public-service portals and specialist national bodies remain separate from the council's local responsibilities.

For related tasks, City of Edinburgh Council can be considered alongside mygov.scot for scottish public services, everyday government guidance and Citizens Advice Scotland for scottish advice access, money and everyday problems. These resources cover adjoining parts of the subject; each publishes its own information and handles its own service, access arrangements or applications.
