Gumtree

Gumtree is a UK online marketplace for local buying, selling and classified advertisements. Its website organises listings across categories that include household goods, vehicles, property, jobs and services.

Published information and service routes cover local classified listings, household goods and vehicles and property and service adverts. Use the individual listing and platform guidance to understand who is offering the item or service. Marketplace adverts, consumer advice and an official public service have different roles and should be evaluated separately.

For related tasks, Gumtree can be considered alongside Citizens Advice for independent advice, everyday practical problems and Citizens Advice Scotland for scottish advice access, money and everyday problems. These resources cover adjoining parts of the subject; each publishes its own information and handles its own service, access arrangements or applications.
