BBC News

BBC News is the BBC's news service, reporting on UK and world affairs. Its UK news entry brings together national stories, local coverage and subject sections alongside live updates and analysis.

Published information and service routes cover UK and world reporting, local news and live coverage and analysis. Use the UK edition for British coverage and follow the specific article, programme or regional page for its publication context. BBC iPlayer is a separate streaming service; news access and programme rights have different arrangements.

For related tasks, BBC News can be considered alongside The Guardian for news reporting, analysis and comment and Sky News for news reporting, current affairs. These resources cover adjoining parts of the subject; each publishes its own information and handles its own service, access arrangements or applications.
