OpenLearn

OpenLearn is The Open University's platform for free learning resources and short courses. Visitors can explore topics, read educational material and follow structured introductory study.

The website is useful for trying a subject before considering further education. Course pages explain the content and any completion recognition available for that particular activity.

For related tasks, OpenLearn can be considered alongside FutureLearn for online short courses, professional development and Coursera for university and professional courses, course outlines and study options. These resources cover adjoining parts of the subject; each publishes its own information and handles its own service, access arrangements or applications.

No official UK iOS app for OpenLearn found in the checked sources. OU Study excludes OpenLearn content.
