BASE

BASE is an academic-search service associated with Bielefeld University Library. It helps users discover scholarly documents and metadata from participating repositories and other academic sources.

Results can include different versions, access types, and document formats. A search record is not itself a guarantee of peer review or free access to the complete work. Researchers should open the supplying repository, verify the version and rights, and inspect the original document before citing it.

For related tasks, BASE can be considered alongside British Library for collections and research, library access and National Library of Scotland for scottish collections, research information. These resources cover adjoining parts of the subject; each publishes its own information and handles its own service, access arrangements or applications.
