X

X is a social platform built around public posts and live conversations. Users can follow people, organisations and subjects, view shared media and participate in discussions about developing events. Its official website is useful for accessing current platform features and account tools, as well as following updates from public figures and other accounts.

X centres on accounts, public posts and developing conversations. It can be useful for following announcements from a known organisation or person as well as seeing discussion around an event. The original account and the context of a thread matter when interpreting a short post, especially where a quoted or shared message refers to material published elsewhere.

The useful starting point is the people, community or subject a visitor wants to follow. Its main functions include Public posts, Live conversations and Accounts, interests and media, helping distinguish the kinds of shared spaces, published material and interaction available through this particular platform.
