Discord

Discord brings communities together through servers, text channels, voice and video communication. It is used for gaming groups, clubs, learning communities and other shared interests. The official website provides browser access and app downloads, while individual servers organise their own channels, membership arrangements and community rules.

Discord organises community communication into servers and channels. A server can contain separate spaces for different subjects or kinds of participation, which makes it useful for sustained discussion around games, projects or shared interests. The community's own channel structure and rules are the relevant guide to where a conversation belongs and what participation is expected.

The useful starting point is the people, community or subject a visitor wants to follow. Its main functions include Community servers, Text, voice and video and Browser access and app downloads, helping distinguish the kinds of shared spaces, published material and interaction available through this particular platform.

The official Discord site includes sections for Safety, Family Center and Safety Library.
